Ofqual has announced that they will provide a choice on which students will be examined for the GCSE history, ancient history and English lit subjects. They will also remove the requirement for schools to declare the number of hours students have spent in fieldwork in relevant subjects.
Similar changes will be made for GCSE, AS, A level geology and AS, A level environmental sciences. Furthermore, they will be allowing some room for compromises to GCSE food preparation and nutrition, physical education and AS/A level music.
They have not decided anything related to the actual examination procedures and the hours.
